Easter 2012

Easter Weekend started on Saturday with a stop at the A.G. Gilbert Children's Museum in Salem. We have free passes to it, so we thought we should check it out.

Daddy and Ella all excited to go!

They have this huge play structure that Ella had fun exploring.

We had a great time soaking up this much needed sunshine!

Next we headed up to Portland to celebrate Tucker's first birthday!

On Easter morning Mark's Aunt and Uncle always host a large brunch, egg hunt and games.

Ella was really into the egg hunt this year. She even helped Tucker find some eggs.

After the egg hunt and brunch, it was time for the adults to have their fun. Both Mark and I teams were winners. I do have to mention that my game was much
more difficult then his:)

 

Mark had to balance two balls on a tray

and I had to use a water bottle to spray a balloon into a basket without it dropping and it was windy.

Before we left, we got all the cousins together for a group picture.

Daycare Buddies!

 Ella loves her Baby Claire! These two are going to be best camping buddies!

A Few Spring Break Hightlights

Spring Break has come and almost gone. I'm down to the finally hours:( It always goes way too fast! We just stuck around town this year. We had a couple of playdates with our friends, and mostly worked/played around the house. I'm super excited to have gotten my kitchen painted. My goal is to tile the backsplash,
 so painting is one step closer to getting that done.

 On Friday, Cousin Roger and Marge came over for dinner. They are out visiting from Minnesota. Roger and Ella had a great time feeding their babies.

Saturday Night, Ella's "Friends" Libby and Peytie came over while their Mommy went to a play. Ella was in heaven! It was so much fun to watch her interact with the girls. We love the Groshong Girls!

 

Snow Buddy

Well, today is day two of snow days. I'm praying that they are not going to make us make them up at the end of the year. I've got a wedding to get to! :) This morning Ella and I ventured out to the backyard. The snow turned more into crunchy ice.

 She insisted on wearing her glasses because it was so bright!

Spring Snow Strom

We woke up to a little surprise! We got snow last night... and a lot of it!

Ella was so excited!

We celebrated our snow day with blueberry pancakes for breakfast!

After breakfast, we met up with our best friends for a little sledding.

Dakota had no fear going down the hill,

while Ella was not so sure.

Like a good mother, I made her go down twice.

She wiped out and wanted to go in... that was the end to playing in the snow.

What a fun and unexpected day! Now I'm ready for spring and sunshine!

Hot Tub, Anyone?

Hello Sunshine!

Today was a little late winter treat. We almost made it to 70 degrees and had tons of Sunshine. Ella and I spent the afternoon out on the front lawn, soaking up it up. The rain is suppose to be back tomorrow and last the entire week.
