Paint Party!

Last week, Ella and I had a paint party at our house.
It all started with painting Ella chubby little toes.

Please ignore all the stuff on the messy table!:)

Then we decided to do some creative painting outside.
She is quite the little Picasso!
 So excited to start painting!

The paint is a just flour and water with food coloring mixed.

It works perfect for babies that like to eat the paint
and get it all over themselves.

Oh, here's a close-up of those cute chubby painted toes
(now with more paint on them)

 Her masterpieces.
Snapped a photo and into the trash they went...

and the bathtub Ella went!

Lastly, I painted a coffee table that I have had since my very first apartment with my BF Sara. I'm not quite done yet, but I will post some pix when it's finished.

Summer has returned!

To celebrate the return of summer like weather, Elle and I walked down to the park. It's been awhile since we had a completely sunny day. Of course, I couldn't go down there without taking my camera and having a mini photo shoot. Here are some of my favorite.... and yes, I did edit them down:)

Mom, can we go back to the slide again? She loves the park!

No Baby!

We clearly have a new favorite word, the funny thing is she has no idea what the word means.

Feelin' Crafty

One part of being home for the summer that I totally love is having time to be creative. Last week I was busy crafting and decorating. Two of my favorite things:)

I've been changing up our family room, switching out green pillows and decor for blue. I also add these panels to each side of the windows. I'm now thinking about painting the fireplace white.

Here is a bad photoshop photo of what it might look like.
Hopefully, I can talk Mark into it!

I sewed the striped pillow on the left.

I spray painted my old red lanterns
to make them look new again.

I also got this new patio set at Target's end of the season sale!
70% off! WooHoo! I love clearance sales!

An added bonus, the chairs came in a big box, which Ella has had so much fun playing in.

As I was cruising around my favorite blogs, I came across these tutorials for all the cute ideas below.

Rolled Flower Headbands

Sweet Yellow Flower Headband

I even made a headband for myself. Ella and I wore these out shopping last week, and got lots of compliments. Maybe I should start making them to sell??

I also played around with wire to make these cute little signs.

On a totally other note, we had a Pizza and Wii Party last Saturday.
Someone was really excited to play Wii with Daddy.

We played Just Dance. I have to admit,
I'm the worst dancer of them all!
Maybe I should be practicing on my summer break!

What a fun night, any pride was checked at the door. I can't wait for the next Wii dance night to embarrass myself again.
Thanks Friends!

David and Jeanelle

Mark and I went down to Southern California last weekend for his good friend, David's wedding.
The happy couple, Jeanelle and David

My handsome hubby

The wedding venue was beautiful and the weather was perfect.

The day after the wedding, we went to Knotts Berry Farms to ride roller-coasters. I think that Chad was the most excited nervous terrified!

This picture cracks me up every time!

This was 2 blocks away from our hotel in Long Beach.

On Sunday, Mark and I hung out on the beach in Long Beach.
All day long, I kept on thinking how much fun Ella would be having playing in the surf and sand.
We definitely want to visit SoCal again with this little goofball.

 Our little Goofball!
